Thanks jeff. You are right in what you say about resistance it is not always opposition. this is a lesson i am trying hard to learn. i tend to be ready for a fight when sometimes the resistance has nothing to do with what I am doing but something else in the persons life. leading a church to constant renewal is definitely the most challenging job on the planet but as you say I wouldn't want to do anything else.

This is great stuff Willy. It always amazes me how difficult it is to get everyone on board with the vision of what the church should and can be. Even when new strategy proves out and produces fruit and people are coming to Christ there are some that will remain opposed to it. I have found it true though that resistance isn't always opposition. Some people just need more information or time to process and adapt.
Church renewal wears me and charges me up all at the same time.
God is all about radical life change. We have a sign on the office door at the church that states "Status Quo is not an Option". Amen!
